Police Commissioner Charges Personnel to Enroll in NOUN: The Director, Asaba Study Centre, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof. Chibuogwu Nnaka, on Monday, March 14, 2022, led her advocacy team to the Office of the Police Commissioner, Delta State Police Command Headquarters, Asaba, Delta State, on advocacy campaign.

Nnaka briefed the formation on the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode of instructional delivery as promoted by NOUN.

She also sensitised them on the academic programmes offered by the university and the benefits of studying at the university, while underscoring flexibility and cost effectiveness as some of the advantages of enrolling to study at the West Africa’s foremost ODL university.

The Delta State police commissioner, Ari Muhammad Ali, who led his area commanders and divisional police officers, to receive the NOUN delegation, expressed his delight at the visit of the advocacy team.

He commended the university for taking qualitative university education to the domain of every Nigerian in a flexible and affordable manner.

Ali charged his personnel to take advantage of the learning opportunity the university offers and enroll in any programme of their choice to update and upgrade their academic standing and personal self development.

Nnaka’s sensitisation presentation had elicited a barrage of questions which were satisfactorily responded to as four of the police personnel secured instant provisional admissions into various programmes at the university.

In a related development, the management of the centre, on Friday, March 11, 2022, also organised a forum for students.

The purpose of the students’ forum was to enlighten them on the processes of accessing their Tutor Marked Assignments (TMAs) and how to join the online facilitation platform of the university.
